Following on from my Carden IT Services story, now it is time for The Carden IT Services LLC story.
By 2017, Carden IT Services in the UK was running at full speed. We’d built a strong client base, expanded our services, and had a clear sense of where we were heading. Then my business partner made a big decision, he was moving to New York.
It wasn’t a small move. One week we were working side by side in Brighton, the next we were looking at office space just off Wall Street. That’s how Carden IT Services LLC was born.
The US market was a whole different playing field – faster, bigger, and with no shortage of competition. But New York brought something else to the table: it’s one of the most targeted cities in the world for cyber attacks. Finance, law, healthcare, media, the stakes are high in every industry here. That meant we couldn’t just deliver “good IT”, we had to constantly invest time, money, and expertise into staying ahead of the latest threats. Adapting wasn’t optional; it was survival.
From day one, we committed to being more than a helpdesk. We built strong relationships with our clients, learning their industries inside and out, so we could protect them and help them grow. Today, we support over 100 businesses in and around New York, from small startups to some very large and well-known organisations.
And our work doesn’t stop with our direct clients. We also take on major projects for other US-based companies and act as a trusted partner for other Managed Service Providers who outsource to us. They know we have the knowledge, the people, and the capacity to get the job done, whether it’s a full infrastructure rollout, a cloud migration, or a complex security deployment.
Last week, we opened our second US office in New Jersey, putting us in a stronger position to serve clients on both sides of the Hudson. It’s another step forward in our mission to deliver fast, local, and reliable IT services across the region.
Looking back, expanding into the US wasn’t just a geographic move, it was a strategic one. From a small shop in Brighton to offices in London, Cheshire, Wall Street, and now New Jersey, Carden IT Services has evolved into an international operation with a reputation for excellence.
And the best part? In a city that never sleeps, there’s always another challenge to take on, and we’re ready for it.
