The Intro to The Carden Hotspots Story
When we launched Carden Hotspots, our mission was clear, to provide businesses, particularly in the hospitality sector, the ability to offer high-quality, secure, and custom-branded WiFi to their customers. It wasn’t just about getting people online; it was about creating a valuable connection point between businesses and their guests.
We started strong, supplying wireless hotspots to bars, restaurants, and other venues, complete with custom sign-in landing pages that could showcase promotions, collect marketing data, or even display adverts. It was a win-win, customers got easy internet access, and businesses had a new way to engage.
The Bump In The Road
Then, in early 2020, Covid-19 hit. Overnight, the hospitality industry, our primary client base, went into shutdown. Restaurants closed, bars shut down, and hotels stood empty. For Carden Hotspots, it was like someone had pressed pause on the entire business.
Even as restrictions eased, many businesses were understandably cautious with their spending. For a while, investing in guest WiFi wasn’t at the top of their priority list.
The Carden Hotspots Reboot
But we are adapting (note current tense). We now focus on long-term relationships, worked with venues to show the marketing value of our hotspots, and offered flexible packages to help them bounce back. Slowly but surely, as the hospitality sector is regaining its confidence, so did Carden Hotspots.
Today, we’re back on a growth track, working with venues across the UK to provide not just WiFi, but a marketing tool that can boost customer loyalty and engagement. The challenges of Covid made us more resilient, more adaptable, and more focused on the value we deliver, and that’s something we’re carrying forward into everything we do.
