Hi, I’m Dave, and I have a self diagnosed obsession with technology, communication, marketing, AI and automations.
I grew up as the kid who took the family PC apart for no reason whatsoever, just to put it back together (pretty nerdy I know). This developed into an obsession with generally making technical things work.
“The best ideas turn up when you step away from the screen for a bit.”
Away from the keyboard I’m usually walking the dog along the Brighton seafront, tinkering with a home-lab project I definitely didn’t need, or being outvoted on what to watch by my family. This site is where I share the honest version of all of it — what I’m learning, the tools I actually pay for, the things I get wrong, and the occasional strong opinion. If any of it saves you a headache, that’s the whole point.

Latest from my socials
I’m most active on YouTube, but I share quick thoughts, wins and the odd rant across the rest too. Here’s what I’ve been posting.

Filming something on backups this week. Reply with your worst “we didn’t have a backup” story — misery loves company.
A lot of small businesses aren’t held back by their tech — they’re held back by no one owning it. A short thread on the “accidental IT person” problem.
Grateful for the messages after last week’s talk in Brighton. If you asked a question I didn’t get to, drop it below — I’ll answer them all.
Reminder: you don’t need the fanciest tool. You need the boring one that you’ll actually keep using.
