When I first started looking at the GoHighLevel SaaS mode white label setup for Carden Digital, I thought it would take me a weekend. It took longer than that, mostly because I was piecing together advice from guides that were still talking about Twilio and Mailgun as if LC Phone and LC Email did not exist.

This guide covers the actual current process: Agency Pro plan, Stripe connection, domain DNS, visual branding, SaaS Configurator, and automated onboarding. Every step reflects how the platform looks in 2026.

If you just want to try GoHighLevel before committing to Agency Pro, you can start a standard trial here to get a feel for the interface first.

Who this is for

You are already on GoHighLevel, or seriously considering it, and you want to sell it as your own branded software to clients. This guide assumes you have agency-level access and a domain you can point DNS records at.

Valid as of August 2026

If the interface has changed since this date, use the product’s own menus or help documentation to find the equivalent option.

Key Takeaways

GoHighLevel’s SaaS mode turns your account into a white-labelled platform your clients log into under your brand. You need the Agency Pro plan, a connected Stripe account, a custom domain, and focused setup time across the five steps below.

  • Plan required: Agency Pro only. Standard and Starter plans do not include SaaS mode.
  • Stripe is mandatory: Without it, the SaaS Configurator will not activate.
  • DNS propagation: Allow up to 48 hours after pointing your CNAME, though it typically resolves sooner.
  • LC Email and LC Phone: These replace the older Twilio and Mailgun setup for rebilling.
Your options
RecommendedMethod A

DIY setup on Agency Pro

This is the route I took and the one I recommend. You control every element of the branding, the pricing tiers, and the onboarding flow. The setup is methodical rather than difficult, and the guide below walks you through each stage.

Method B

Hire a GoHighLevel specialist

A GoHighLevel specialist can have the whole thing live without you touching a DNS record. Worth considering if your time is better spent elsewhere.

What I Mean When I Talk About White-Label SaaS Mode

Taking a platform built by someone else, rebranding it, and selling it to clients as your own product is what white-label SaaS means. They log in at your domain, see your logo, and have no reason to know the underlying software is GoHighLevel. You can see how this fits the broader platform in my full GoHighLevel review.

SaaS mode goes beyond cosmetic rebranding. It adds subscription billing through Stripe, automatic sub-account provisioning, and client-facing pricing plans. The distinction matters: basic white-labelling is just swapping logos and colours, but SaaS mode turns GoHighLevel into a product you can actually charge for.

How I Completed My GoHighLevel SaaS Mode White Label Setup

01

Secure Agency Pro and connect Stripe

This walkthrough assumes you are on the Agency Pro plan. If not, start your Agency Pro trial here before proceeding.

Once inside, go to Settings – Billing and connect your Stripe account. Use a Stripe account that is already verified and connected to your business bank account.

02

Configure your white-label domain

Go to Settings – Agency Settings – White Label Domain. Enter the subdomain you want clients to use, for example app.youragency.com, and GoHighLevel will provide a CNAME record to add at your domain registrar.

Log in to your registrar, create the CNAME record pointing your chosen subdomain to the value GoHighLevel provides, and save it. DNS propagation can take some time, and the platform shows a pending status until it confirms the SSL certificate.

03

Apply your visual branding

Still in Agency Settings, scroll to the branding section. Upload your logo, set your primary and secondary brand colours using hex codes, and add your agency name as it should appear throughout the platform. GoHighLevel shows the recommended logo dimensions next to the upload field, so match those rather than guessing.

I did this for NextTier MSP and found it noticeably quicker than expected. The platform preview updates in real time, so you can see exactly how the login screen and dashboard will look to your clients before saving anything.

04

Set up the SaaS Configurator and pricing plans

Navigate to Settings – SaaS Configurator. This is where you build the subscription tiers your clients will purchase. Create at least one plan, give it a name, set the monthly price in your Stripe currency, and define which GoHighLevel features are included.

A common structure is a starter plan covering core CRM and pipeline features, and a higher tier that adds LC Phone and LC Email rebilling. Set your rebilling margins in the same section: GoHighLevel charges you a base rate, and you set what your clients pay.

05

Embed your signup link and automate onboarding

Once a plan is live in the SaaS Configurator, GoHighLevel generates a unique signup link for it. Copy that link and embed it on your website or send it directly to prospects. When a client completes signup and pays through Stripe, a sub-account is provisioned automatically.

To automate onboarding further, attach a snapshot to the plan inside the SaaS Configurator. GoHighLevel loads it into every new sub-account on creation, so clients start with your preferred pipelines, funnels, and automations already in place. For building those assets, the guide on how to build your first GoHighLevel funnel is a solid starting point.

What I Wish I Had Known Before Going Live

The most common mistake I see is going live before testing the full client journey. Create a test Stripe account, go through your own signup link, and confirm that the sub-account provisions correctly with your snapshot loaded. An outdated snapshot means manual corrections on every new account, so update it before you start signing clients.

At Carden IT Group, we discovered that LC Email requires a separate domain verification step inside Agency Settings before rebilling will work. That is not covered in most setup guides, and it will silently block outbound email for new sub-accounts if you skip it. Once everything works end to end, the guide on how to organise your GoHighLevel CRM will help you build a clean structure for the sub-accounts you start bringing in.

You should now see

Your custom domain loads the GoHighLevel login screen with your branding. The SaaS Configurator shows at least one active plan. A test signup via your plan link creates a new sub-account automatically, with your snapshot loaded and Stripe recording the payment.

Decision points
If you see thisDo this
The SSL certificate shows as pending after 48 hours
Check that the CNAME record is saved correctly at your registrar and that no conflicting A record exists for the same subdomain.
The SaaS Configurator is greyed out
Stripe is not yet connected or not fully verified. Return to Settings – Billing and complete the Stripe setup before returning here.
New sub-accounts are provisioning without the snapshot
Open the SaaS Configurator, edit the plan, and confirm a snapshot is explicitly attached. Snapshots must be assigned per plan.
LC Email is not sending for new sub-accounts
Go to Agency Settings – LC Email and complete the domain authentication step. Each sending domain must be verified separately.
Pre-launch checklist
  • Agency Pro plan is active
  • Stripe account connected and verified in Settings – Billing
  • White-label domain CNAME added at registrar and SSL confirmed
  • Logo, colours, and agency name saved in branding settings
  • At least one plan created and published in SaaS Configurator
  • Rebilling margins set for LC Email and LC Phone
  • Snapshot attached to each plan
  • Test signup completed and sub-account provisioned correctly
  • LC Email domain authentication verified
  • Signup link copied and ready to share
QWhat is SaaS mode in GoHighLevel?

Available only on Agency Pro, SaaS mode lets you sell GoHighLevel as your own branded software. It adds subscription billing through Stripe, automatic sub-account provisioning, and client-facing pricing plans. Without it, you can white-label the appearance but cannot charge clients directly through the platform.

QDo I need Stripe to use SaaS mode?

Yes. Stripe is the only payment processor GoHighLevel supports for SaaS mode billing. You must connect a verified Stripe account in Settings – Billing before the SaaS Configurator will activate. Without it, you can still white-label the visual appearance, but automated client billing and plan management will not work.

QDo I need a snapshot for every plan?

Only if you want new sub-accounts to arrive pre-built. Snapshots are attached per plan inside the SaaS Configurator rather than globally, so a plan with nothing attached will provision an empty sub-account and leave you setting it up by hand for every client.

QCan I white-label the GoHighLevel mobile app?

GoHighLevel offers a white-label mobile app as a separate add-on available through Agency Settings. You publish it through your own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts using the branding assets GoHighLevel provides. This is an additional cost on top of the Agency Pro plan and is separate from the web platform setup covered here.

QWhat happens to my clients’ sub-accounts if I downgrade from Agency Pro?

Downgrading from Agency Pro disables SaaS mode features, including automated billing and the SaaS Configurator. Existing sub-accounts remain intact, but new signups through your plan links will stop working and Stripe billing will no longer process. You would need to manage those accounts manually or move clients to a different arrangement.
